What is Smart Card?

Plastic Smart Card is regarding the dimensions of ordinary mastercard, with an embedded micro chip which will be loaded with knowledge, used for membership system, phonephone occupation, electronic money payments, and different applications, then sporadically reinvigorated for added use.

How Smart Cards Work?

Smart Card contains additional info than a magnetic tape card and it is programmed for various applications. Contact Smart Cards (IC Card) have a contact area, comprising several gold-plated contact pads. These pads provide electrical connectivity when inserted into a reader,which is used as a communications medium between the smart card and a host (e.g., a computer, a point of sale terminal).
